Job Description




The Hydrocarbon Accounting Engineer position is a key role in the QGC Asset supporting the Upstream Operations. It is responsible for the proper execution of the WRFM and Production Excellence processes within the regional ICEs.

The role will ensure that production efficiency is maximized by analysis and elimination of losses, while opportunities to enhance production performance are identified.




Some of the key deliverables and responsibilities of this role are:
Develop an accurate gas production forecast to feed the LNG Shipping Schedule by working together with the ICE (Integrated Collaborative Environment) teams and the Integrated Scheduler.
Execute the daily HCA processes within EC (Energy Components) to account for the flow and ownership of gas volumes from source to delivery point.
Execute the monthly commercial reporting & allocation processes within EC to account for gas ownership and processing based on commercial agreements.
Ensure the structure of the Gas Allocation system in EC remains up to date.
Identify and capture all plant loss events into EC.
Execute the loss management process per CPP (Processing Plant) to ensure all losses are allocated.
Support the ICE optimisation activities by provision of reports/analysis/data based on the outputs of the Production Excellence and WRFM (Well Reservoir and Facilities Management) processes.
Support commercial/finance activities by the provision of mid-month (accruals) and end of month production reports.
Where IT system capability not sufficient, support the development of re-usable spreadsheet models to support consistent, timely execution of processes and reporting.
Understand the gas purchases and sales agreements and consequent application of contract terms in order to determine appropriate structure of the Gas Allocation system.

Requirements




The candidate we are seeking for this position, will have/be;
Lead by example in the fields of HSSE, Diversity and Inclusion, and Social Performance.
Excellent understanding of the ICE process and the ability to ensure strict compliance.
Tertiary level education in an Engineering or Commercial field.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of plant operations and system.
Ability to develop policies and procedures
Ability to prioritize and consistently meet deadlines
Experience in identifying potential consequences and take proactive action.
